Christmas is such an important occasion for bringing communities together, which is exactly what our Vocalise! programme is all about. Every year in our Vocalise! schools programme, we work with a number of different schools in our local Westminster area to sing with the children in their year 4 and 5 classes. On Monday 1 December, we welcomed the children we’ve been singing with to our Vocalise! Winter Singalong where the children from Ark White City, Ark Brunel, Wilberforce and Flora Gardens joined together with David Hill, our workshop facilitator Nav Arles and our singers to celebrate Christmas.
Together, we sang some of our favourite carols which the children loved as you can see in the photos below. They included classics like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Rocking Around the Christmas Tree, the Twelve Days of Christmas and many more!
Our next Vocalise! performance is a hugely exciting one – we’ll be performing the world premiere of a fascinating new work by composer Stephanie Jayne Amies entitled The Swifts of Summer. We’ll be revealing more about that early in 2026 so make sure you keep an eye on our social media accounts and newsletter until then.
