David Hill’s Analysis

If you want to get under the skin of this work more, we’ve recorded an analysis video of David Hill illustrating the value of the basses in this work, and why he thinks the piece has had such a lasting impact…

If you’d like to hear this full movement in an intimate environment, you’re in luck. Into Spring: East Meets West will feature this movement – this concert will give you the chance to get closer than ever to The Bach Choir. This programme of tranquil and rejuvenating music for choir and organ will guarantee an electric atmosphere and that sense of connection between choir and organ which is so hard to generate in less intimate environments.
