Everyone deserves the right support at the end of life. Marie Curie are here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and their family and friends.
We hope that you enjoyed experiencing The Dream of Gerontius and Cusp at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall. As you might know from reading the programme, both of these pieces deal with our mortality and grieving.
Part of the aim of Cusp in particular is to promote open and honest conversations about grief – it’s so important to talk about these subjects if you’re struggling.
With that in mind, we’ve listed some really crucial charities below who do important work in making people as comfortable as possible as they’re dying, and in comforting those around them while it’s happening. If the music and the subject matter have touched you, donations to these crucial organisations will be very much appreciated.
Hospice UK is the national charity for hospice and end of life care. They work to ensure everyone affected by death, dying and bereavement gets the care and support they need, when they need it. Their Dying Matters campaign aims to create an open culture in which we’re comfortable talking about death, dying and grief.
Because cancer can affect your life in so many ways, Macmillan Cancer Support do whatever it takes to give people the support they need.
