We’re very much looking forward to re-connecting with Duruflé’s gorgeous Requiem on Thursday 19 March at Holy Trinity Sloane Square. This work combines solemn plainchants with lush, impressionistic harmonies to gorgeous effect. You can hear some of that in action in the Sanctus…
And in the final movement, In Paradisum.
Our Au Printemps concert series at Holy Trinity Sloane Square is a very popular one for good reason – it’s a chance to get closer than ever to The Bach Choir in a much more intimate environment than is usual for our concerts. We’re also singing a number of other French works at this concert by Poulenc and Fauré. Organ lovers will be in for a treat as the wonderful Philip Scriven will be performing some solo organ works, too. Book your tickets here.
